Army Initiates Probe Into Death Of Hotel Manager In Abia
The Nigerian Army has launched an investigation into the tragic death of a hotel manager, Achimugu Etubi, in Abia State. In a statement released on Sunday, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the spokesman for the Nigerian Army, revealed that General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, has directed a thorough investigation into the conduct of soldiers allegedly involved in the incident.
Expressing deep concern over the alleged unprofessional conduct of its personnel, Nwachukwu stated that the Army is committed to seeking truth and justice in the matter. General Lagbaja has ordered a comprehensive investigation to establish the facts and ensure that anyone found culpable faces appropriate legal actions.
The Nigerian Army extends its condolences to the families of the deceased hotel manager, Mr. Achimugu James Etubi, and the Air Force Officer Cadet, Emmanuel Chidiebere Onyemereche. The Army reassures the public that it will provide updates on the investigation’s progress and remains dedicated to upholding professionalism and discipline among its personnel.
