“When you’re big, you’re BIG abeg!” Chief Ayiri Emami, a respected Niger Delta leader and advocate for the people, received well-deserved praise from First Lady Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday, November 9, at the Presidential Villa. The occasion was the grand launch of the NDDC/RHI/uLesson Educational Tablets project, a monumental initiative held at the State House’s Bouquet Hall.

At the event, 45,000 educational tablets were distributed to students across the nine Niger Delta states, taking a bold step toward bridging the digital divide and boosting access to digital learning. Powered by the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) in collaboration with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the project showcases a shared commitment to uplifting Niger Delta youth through technology and education.

In a memorable celebration at the Presidential Villa on November 9, the First Lady warmly acknowledged Emami, recognizing not only his Itsekiri heritage, which they both share, but also his impactful work as a champion of the people.
