Turkish Airlines Organises The Biggest Corporate Amateur Golf Tournament Globally

According to Ireporter Online, the 10th edition of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Final concluded in Antalya, Turkey, marking yet another milestone for what is widely regarded as the world’s largest corporate amateur golf championship. The global event took place from November 17 to 21 at the prestigious Gloria Golf Resort, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most influential amateur golf competitions in international sports.

Since debuting in 2013, the tournament has expanded into a worldwide sensation, staging more than 750 events across 85 countries and 130 destinations, with over 60,000 amateur golfers participating over the years. The 2025 edition alone featured more than 10,000 players competing in 122 qualifiers held in 83 countries before the top contenders converged in Antalya for the Grand Final.

Pakistan’s Adeel Shafqat secured the highest honour of the competition, emerging as the 2025 Gross Champion with a total score of 151, finishing seven over par. In the top-tier Gold TAWGC Category, Jose Garcia San Juan of the United Arab Emirates claimed first place with 73 stableford points over two rounds, followed by Algeria’s Seifeddine Zarzour in second and Pakistan’s Abdul Rehman Qureshi in third.

The Silver Category saw Mexico’s Agustin Valdes Kato dominate the leaderboard, clinching the title with 78 stableford points across two rounds. Jordan’s Michael Sharaiha placed second, while China’s Wang Fan secured third position.

Turkish Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Sales (Region I), Ahmet Harun Baştürk, commended the tournament for strengthening the airline’s international ties and enhancing its global brand presence. He remarked that the event has grown beyond a sporting competition into a unifying global platform, helping the airline foster cultural connections worldwide. According to him, the Antalya Grand Final once again showcased the tournament’s impressive evolution into a recognised global brand event.

The 2025 Grand Final brought together 120 of the world’s leading amateur golfers, delivering an event befitting Antalya’s reputation as a premier golf destination. The tournament concluded on a celebratory note, reaffirming Turkish Airlines’ commitment to promoting global sporting excellence and cultural unity.
