Brymo And Johnny Drille To Headline Lagos’ Shakara Festival 2025

According to reports, organisers of the Shakara Festival have announced Brymo and Johnny Drille as the headline performers for the four-day cultural and music festival, set to take place from Thursday, December 18, to Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Nautica Beach Resort, Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos.

The festival, positioned as Nigeria’s premier cultural and musical experience, is designed to become an annual highlight of the widely celebrated Detty December festivities in Lagos. Festival organisers revealed that this year’s edition will feature an electrifying “Shakara After Dark” takeover in partnership with DJ Obi’s renowned Obi House Party. The late-night segment on December 20 will feature top DJs, including DJ Shawn and Bonamax, promising an immersive nightlife experience.

The event’s musical lineup spans established legends, Alté icons, and fast-rising stars in Afrobeats, Alternative, and Highlife music, offering attendees a diverse and unforgettable auditory experience. Other notable artists confirmed to perform include BlaqBonez, Show Dem Camp, J’Dess, Mich Straw, Mavo, Llona, Tar1q, Morravey, The Cavemen, Oshamo, and Keys The Prince.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, December 21, with Shakara Gospel Day, a full day of praise and worship featuring prominent Nigerian gospel musicians such as Gbenga Akinfenwa, SMJ, Yinka Alaseyori, Bidemi Olaoba, Sinach, Kingdom, Magpsalms, Ada Ehi, and Gerald Bishung, providing a high-energy finale to the four-day celebration.

Shakara Festival is structured around four immersive zones: Shakara Junction, a marketplace for culture and commerce; Shakara Series, offering panel discussions and deep dives into the music and creative industries; Shakara Games Village, dedicated to competitive and casual gaming; and Shakara After Dark, the festival’s premier late-night entertainment experience.
