According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has advised young people with big dreams to remain grounded in their faith and not drift away from God after achieving success.

Speaking during a recent interview with Kiss Xtra, the singer expressed concern over a growing trend among celebrities, particularly Christians, who abandon church and religious practices after gaining fame. He encouraged aspiring talents to first believe in themselves and remain dedicated to developing their craft.

Davido reflected on his own journey in music, revealing that he honed his skills through self-learning via YouTube and by drawing inspiration from people around him while growing up. He emphasized that consistent self-improvement played a major role in his rise to stardom.

The award-winning artist further advised that passion for one’s work should be matched with spiritual grounding, stressing the importance of keeping God close even after success is achieved.

He noted that the entertainment industry is filled with distractions capable of shifting focus away from gratitude and faith. According to him, many successful individuals forget that their achievements are rooted in divine grace.

Davido reiterated that staying humble, committed, and spiritually aware is essential for sustaining both personal growth and long-term success.
