The Osun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, has appealed to Governor Ademola Adeleke to caution his supporters against alleged attacks on residents following the recent governorship election.

According to IREPORTERONLINE, Oyebamiji made the appeal after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he also discussed the political situation in Osun State.

The former commissioner warned that further violence could heighten tensions across the state and urged political leaders to discourage their supporters from taking the law into their own hands.

Oyebamiji alleged that several residents were attacked in his community on Friday morning, prompting him to call for greater efforts to protect lives and property.

He said the incident had been reported to security agencies for investigation and appropriate action.

Oyebamiji said, “I want to advise the governor that it is important to talk to his people. Violence kills our people and it’s not too good. He should talk to them so that all of us will be on the same page.

“Even this morning, about four or five people were attacked in my village. We have informed the security operatives.”

The APC candidate also spoke about his party’s next step following the outcome of the Osun governorship election.

He explained that the APC was still reviewing the election results and assessing the available options before taking a final decision.

Oyebamiji said the party would communicate its position after completing its assessment of the results and determining the appropriate course of action.
