My Husband Can Marry A Second Wife, Date Other Women’ – Ronke Oshodi

Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has shared her views on polygamy, saying she would not oppose her husband marrying a second wife if he had the financial capacity to adequately provide for both families.

According to IREPORTERONLINE, the actress made the disclosure during an interview with Behind The Fame TV, where she discussed marriage, relationships and the conduct of men.

Ronke explained that while she would accept her husband taking another wife, she would not agree to live in the same house with the second woman.

She said her preferred arrangement would be for her husband to provide separate accommodation for the second wife and maintain peace within the family.

The actress stressed that a man who intends to marry another woman should first respect his existing wife by properly introducing the new wife to her.

According to her, there would be no major issue with a second marriage as long as her husband remained financially capable of taking care of his responsibilities toward both families.

She also argued that some men who are married to one woman still maintain relationships with several other women, making her less concerned about the idea of a second wife.

Ronke said, “If my husband can take care of the second wife and he has the financial capacity, I see no reason he can’t marry a second wife. If marrying a second wife will not stop him from giving me money, he should go ahead and do it.”

The actress further stated that she would not be surprised if her husband had sexual relationships with other women, adding that she generally does not place complete trust in men.

She said, “I can allow my husband to marry a second wife, and he’s free to have sex with other girls. I don’t trust men at all, including my son, even though he’s only 13 years old now.”

Her comments have sparked discussions on social media, with Nigerians sharing different views on polygamy, marital boundaries, trust and financial responsibility in relationships.
