2027: APC Slams Rumors Of Nomination Form Price Fixing
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied circulating reports suggesting that it has fixed the prices of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, calling the claims false and misleading.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC clarified that no decisions have been made regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the upcoming elections.
“The report is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party,” the statement emphasized. “To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections. The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”
The party urged its members, the media, and the general public to disregard unverified reports and refrain from spreading misinformation. According to the APC, the false claims gained traction on social media platforms, where unconfirmed details about purported nomination form prices have been widely shared.
The clarification comes amid widespread online speculation that the APC had set ₦200 million as the price for presidential nomination forms for the 2027 elections. The party reiterated that no official pricing has been announced for any of its nomination forms and advised supporters to rely solely on official communications for accurate information regarding electoral preparations.
