Four individuals have been apprehended by the police for allegedly defrauding a retired military officer and other victims of over ₦150 million by falsely claiming ties to Nyesom Wike.

According to Ireporter Online, the development was disclosed in a statement issued by the minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka. One of the suspects, Yashim Kajang, was arrested on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at his residence in Kurudu, Abuja.

Investigations revealed that Kajang allegedly deceived a retired Major General, A. K. Ibrahim, along with other victims, into believing he had strong connections with the FCT Minister and senior officials in the land administration system. He reportedly promised to secure land documents for Plot 1985 in Guzape II, Abuja, spanning three hectares, as well as other parcels of land, and in the process collected more than ₦150 million.

During interrogation, Kajang reportedly named three accomplices: Stephen Mhambe and Danladi Jatau, both said to be staff of the Urban and Regional Planning Department of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, and Terngu Ipaven. He alleged that the trio supplied him with critical land-related data and information used to execute the fraudulent scheme.

The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue to uncover further details surrounding the case.
