Nigerian singer Simi has announced the birth of her second child with her husband, Adekunle Gold. According to reports, the award-winning artiste shared the news on Wednesday evening via her Instagram page, where she confirmed the arrival of the new baby. She disclosed that the child was born on March 10 and expressed gratitude, noting that she is now a mother of two. In her brief message, she celebrated the addition to her family with a heartfelt note appreciating God’s blessings.

Simi and Adekunle Gold have maintained a strong bond over the years, both professionally and personally. Their journey began when they met at an event where Simi was performing, while Adekunle Gold had long admired her music. What started as a friendship eventually developed into a romantic relationship around 2014. After several years of dating, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in January 2019, having kept their relationship largely out of the public spotlight prior to their wedding. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May 2020.

In a separate development, Simi also opened up about health challenges she experienced while working on her recent song “Where You Dey,” which features Chike. She revealed via her X account that the track was initially scheduled for release last year but had to be postponed due to her health condition.
