Under the cover of darkness, the assailants descended upon the unsuspecting villagers, unleashing terror as they opened fire indiscriminately, leaving death and devastation in their wake.
According to a reliable source who spoke under anonymity, the bandits’ ruthless rampage also inflicted injuries upon five individuals, who are currently undergoing medical treatment at undisclosed healthcare facilities within the vicinity.
The brazen attack comes in the aftermath of the neutralization of notorious bandit kingpin Isyaku Boderi, whose reign of terror had terrorized communities with high-profile kidnappings, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Yauri and Greenfield University.
While security forces celebrated the successful elimination of Boderi and his cohorts earlier in the week, the latest assault underscores the persistent threat posed by criminal elements in the region.
Eyewitnesses recounted the chilling events that unfolded late into the night, with bandits storming residences and forcibly abducting innocent civilians, including women and children, leaving a trail of anguish and despair in their wake.
Amidst the chaos and grief, the community remains gripped by fear and uncertainty, with residents reeling from the shock of the brazen attack on their doorstep.
As authorities investigate the heinous act, the affected families await news of their loved ones’ fate, praying for their safe return and an end to the reign of terror that has engulfed their once-peaceful community.
While the Kaduna State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the incident, residents are calling for swift action to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice for the victims of this senseless violence.
