BREAKING: More Pains For Atiku As PDP Governor And Strong Ally Congratulates Tinubu After Supreme Court Judgement
Governor Ademola Adeleke has extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his election. He emphasized that it is now imperative to come together for the unity of Nigeria.
The apex court, on Thursday, dismissed the appeals of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and their presidential candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi. These appellants had contested President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 poll, seeking to overturn the verdict of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
However, the Supreme Court ruled that new evidence could not be introduced at the appeal stage.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke remarked that “our judicial system has once again proven itself in tackling disputes that arise from our elections.” The governor made these remarks in the presence of the ‘Iyaloja General’ of Nigeria, Folasade Ojo-Tinubu, in Ede.
Ojo-Tinubu had visited Ede, the hometown of the governor, to attend the 8th Day Fidau prayer of the father of the state’s Commissioner for Science and Technology, Alhaji Wahab Ayofe.
Adeleke underscored the finality of the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the disputes over the 2023 presidential election. He stated that resolving the questions surrounding the election would lead to a more focused approach in addressing the numerous challenges facing Nigeria. Additionally, he praised the main opposition candidate for enhancing the country’s electoral jurisprudence by pursuing their grievances in a court of law.
“On behalf of the good people of Osun State, I congratulate President Tinubu on his judicial victory at the apex court.
“It is my hope that your administration will bring progress, unity, and prosperity to our nation, and I want to restate my commitment to partner you in offering good governance for our people,” he said.
