Ronke Oshodi Reveals Shocking ₦800,000 Monthly Drug Bill During Health Crisis

Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has opened up about a challenging period in her life when she battled a serious health condition and spent as much as ₦800,000 every month on medication.

The actress made the revelation during an interview on African A List, where she discussed the financial difficulties associated with her treatment and acknowledged the support she received from friends, colleagues and other well-wishers.

Ronke explained that the cost of managing her condition became a significant financial burden, with her monthly medication expenses reportedly rising to hundreds of thousands of naira.

She expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the assistance of APC chieftain Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, as well as some of her colleagues, whom she credited with supporting her during the difficult period.

The actress also recalled the unexpected kindness she received from fellow actress Sotayo, despite the fact that they had not spoken for several years following a disagreement.

According to Ronke, Sotayo reached out financially after learning about her illness and sent her ₦150,000 to assist with her treatment.

She said the gesture came despite the strained relationship between them, noting that they had previously avoided interacting with each other whenever they met at social events.

Ronke further explained that she had been seriously ill around the time she joined Cele and emphasised that she does not judge people based on their religious beliefs.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress’ account highlights the financial challenges that can accompany prolonged medical treatment while also underscoring the importance of support from friends and colleagues during difficult times.
