Breaking: PDP Releases Updated-Members List For Edo Governorship-Election National Campaign-Council

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled the updated list of members for the Edo Governorship Election National Campaign Council in anticipation of the September 2024 polls.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the updated list reflects the NWC’s unwavering commitment to securing victory for the party in the forthcoming Edo election slated for September 21.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has been appointed as the chairman of the council, while Governors Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta and Kefas Agbu of Plateau will serve as Deputy Chairmen.

The council comprises prominent figures such as former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Namadi Sambo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) Senator Adolphus Wabara, and governors elected on the PDP platform.

The inauguration of the 144 council members is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 4, at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja at noon.

This announcement follows the earlier constitution of a 152-member national campaign council for the Edo governorship election, initially set for September 16, 2024.

In a previous statement released to newsmen in Abuja, Ologunagba reiterated the NWC’s determination to secure victory for the party in the Edo election. He highlighted the withdrawal of the earlier published list of members of the Edo State Governorship Election National Campaign Council in favor of the updated lineup.

The PDP continues to strategize and mobilize its resources effectively as it gears up for the Edo governorship election, reaffirming its commitment to clinching victory in the polls.
