BREAKING: Prominent Judge Shot Dead Outside His Residence
In Maryland’s eastern region, an extensive manhunt is underway for an individual suspected of fatally shooting a judge just hours after the judge ruled against him in a child custody case, as stated by officials.
Judge Andrew Wilkinson, 52, was shot outside his residence in Hagerstown, Maryland, on Thursday evening, according to Washington County Sheriff Brian Albert.

Sheriff Albert emphasized, “This was a deliberate and targeted attack,” during a press briefing.
The sheriff disclosed that a collaborative effort involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies is in progress to locate Pedro Argote, 49, from Frederick, Maryland, in connection with the shooting of the Circuit Court judge.
“Argote remains at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous,” Albert cautioned.
Earlier on the same day, the judge presided over a divorce hearing involving Argote, where custody of his children was awarded to his wife, the sheriff reported. Argote, however, did not attend the proceedings.
According to the sheriff, Argote had no prior criminal record and was in legal possession of a handgun.
