Davido Shares Untold Story Of Childhood Friend Who Changed His Music Journey

According to Ireporter Online, Davido made the revelation during a recent livestream with content creator Carter Efe, where he reflected on his early years, family experiences, and the people who supported him before he became a global music star.

The singer explained that Lati, who worked for his late mother, remained close to the family after her death and became one of the people who influenced his early interest in music.

Davido said Lati was the youngest staff member in the household at the time, which allowed them to build a strong bond and connect easily.

He revealed that Lati, who was involved in music production and disc jockeying, was the person who first introduced him to the studio environment by secretly taking him along during studio sessions.

According to the singer, those early experiences played a major role in developing his passion for music and gave him his first exposure to the creative process.

Davido recalled that they lost contact after he was sent to the United States for his education as a teenager but reunited when he returned to Nigeria years later.

The music star said he told Lati at the time that he was determined to pursue music professionally and promised that he would remember him when he achieved success.

Davido stated that he fulfilled that promise after becoming famous by bringing Lati into his team. Although Lati now works in the oil and gas industry, the singer described him as an important figure in his journey.
