Delta Police Seize Locally-Made Guns and Ammunition in Crackdown on Crime

Delta State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat crime, recovering three locally-made guns and other dangerous items during a recent operation. The police, acting on intelligence reports, conducted a series of raids that led to the seizure of the illegal weapons.
Alongside the guns, several rounds of live ammunition and other illicit items were also found. The operation, which took place in various parts of the state, is part of a larger strategy by law enforcement to curb the rising tide of criminal activities.
A spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command confirmed the successful raid and praised the efforts of the officers involved. He assured the public that the police would continue their operations to ensure the safety and security of the state’s residents.
The suspects involved in the possession of the locally-made guns have been arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation. Authorities believe these weapons were used in a string of recent criminal activities in the area, including armed robbery and other violent crimes.
The Delta State Police Command has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. In a statement, the command emphasized its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring that Delta remains a safe environment for all its citizens.
This latest seizure adds to the growing list of illegal arms recovered by the police in recent months, highlighting the relentless efforts by the security forces to rid the state of illegal firearms and reduce the incidence of violent crime.
