was no animosity between them and that his primary focus is the progress of Kaduna State.

“I can confidently say there is no issue between me and my predecessor. Our relationship is very cordial. What truly matters is moving Kaduna State forward,” he stated.

State Affairs Take Priority Over Personal Relationships

Addressing concerns over alleged political tensions, Sani emphasized that governance should always take precedence over personal matters.

“I don’t understand why there is so much focus on this. The Kaduna State Assembly is an independent arm of government, and the affairs of the state are far more important than any personal relationship,” he added.

Naija News recalls that in 2024, the Kaduna State House of Assembly submitted a report accusing El-Rufai and some of his former appointees of mismanaging ₦423 billion in state funds.

However, El-Rufai, through his media aide Muyiwa Adekeye, swiftly dismissed the allegations, labeling them as false and scandalous.

The probe came shortly after Governor Sani publicly lamented the massive debt inherited from the previous administration.
