According to reports from LIB, the police apprehended the father of the minor in Auchi on Sunday, May 12, 2024, following public outrage sparked by semi-nude videos and photos of the girl circulating on social media.

Some of the images depicted the minor wearing revealing clothes while accompanied by her father and other men at a hotel.

Confirming the development, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, posted on the X platform on Monday, May 13, stating, “The child is now in our custody for proper medical examination and care. We will keep you updated on her welfare. Thank you all for your contributions to ensure our kids are safe and sound both in health and mind.”
