Gbajabiamila made this disclosure during a crucial meeting with a delegation from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by President Lucky Emonefe, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Expressing determination to ensure a flawless implementation, Gbajabiamila urged students to advocate for and defend the Student Loan, emphasizing its goal of providing equitable access to quality education for all.
“The President is resolute in seeing this initiative through successfully,” Gbajabiamila affirmed. “Though initially slated for a January launch, we are meticulously finalizing details to ensure a faultless rollout in the next few weeks.”
Highlighting the scheme as a hallmark of the current administration, Gbajabiamila solicited public support to guarantee that no deserving student is left behind.
He underscored the necessity of widespread backing for the policy, countering dissenting voices and championing educational equity.
“In the quest to make education a right, not a privilege, we seek your unwavering support,” Gbajabiamila emphasized. “When opposition arises, we count on your solidarity to ensure success.”

“With looming threats of another ASUU strike, we are actively engaging to resolve issues and forestall disruptions,” he declared. “Under President Tinubu’s leadership, we are steadfast in bidding farewell to the era of strikes.”
As anticipation builds for the imminent rollout of the Federal Student Loan Scheme, stakeholders await eagerly, poised to witness a transformative stride towards educational inclusivity.
