I Think I K!lled All Three” – Charly Boy Reveals Shocking Family Tragedy
Veteran Nigerian musician and social commentator Charly Boy has opened up about the unusual circumstances surrounding his birth and the heartbreaking loss of three younger brothers.
Charly Boy made the revelation during an interview with News Central TV on Friday while reflecting on his childhood, family history and some of the personal experiences documented in his memoir, 999.
According to Ireporter Online, the entertainer recalled that his birth was particularly difficult for his mother, who he said carried the pregnancy for about 11 months before eventually giving birth to him.
Charly Boy explained that his mother was reportedly advised to undergo a Caesarean section but declined, opting instead to deliver him naturally.
He said the circumstances surrounding his birth became an important part of his family story and influenced how he came to understand his childhood and personal experiences.
The musician further disclosed that his mother subsequently had three more sons, but sadly, none of them survived.
Reflecting on the deaths of his younger brothers, Charly Boy made a deeply personal statement, saying he believed he was somehow responsible for the tragic outcomes.
“My mother had three other boys after me, but I think that I killed all of them. I would say I am responsible for their deaths,” he said.
However, Charly Boy did not provide evidence that he caused the deaths, and his comments appeared to reflect his personal interpretation of the painful events rather than an established fact.
The veteran entertainer said his difficult childhood and family experiences played a significant role in shaping his personality and outlook on life.
He also explained that his memoir, 999, was written to provide readers with a personal account of different stages of his life and experiences that are largely unknown to the public.
Charly Boy said the memoir gives him an opportunity to tell his story from his own perspective while revisiting some of the events that influenced the person he eventually became.
