I’m Growing Sonically And Experimenting,” Ayra Starr Reveals
According to reports, Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has described her upcoming studio album as a reflection of her personal growth and maturation, both in life and music. The 23-year-old artist shared her thoughts during an Apple Music Radio Takeover, highlighting her experimentation with new sounds and a renewed focus on enjoying the creative process.
“I’m literally becoming a woman, and it’s like you can hear that in my music now. I’m growing sonically and trying different things, putting myself out there and having fun while doing it,” Ayra Starr said. She admitted that in the past she sometimes took her work too seriously, but her forthcoming album represents a journey of rediscovering joy and letting go of excessive seriousness.
The singer noted that the project aims to bring back the fun in her music. While she has not officially confirmed the album’s title, she recently released the lead single, Where Do We Go, ahead of the expected release later this year.
