JUST IN: Gunmen Abduct Minority Leader’s Mother
Some gunmen have abducted the elderly mother of Isiyaku Ali Danja, the Minority Leader of the Kano State House of Assembly.
According to sources, the kidnappers who abducted the woman around 1 am at Danja Village in the Gezawa Local Government Area of the state, stormed the village in large numbers and made straight for her house.

The lawmaker, Isyaku Ali Danja confirmed the abduction to journalists on Wednesday, noting that the abductors are yet to establish communication with the family.
Police spokesman, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa did not respond to the calls when called to confirm the report
Gezawa and Minjibir areas of Kano, bordering Jigawa State, are becoming notorious for kidnapping.
Some days ago the younger brother of Sabo Nanono, sacked Minister of Agriculture, was also kidnapped in the same area.
