Speaking at a press conference in Lokoja on Tuesday, Ibikunle disclosed that the abductors are demanding N20 million for Awo’s release.

He expressed anguish over the situation, stating, “The suffering is too much. We have raised about N7 million. They said until we complete the N20 million, they won’t release her.”

Despite efforts by the police, vigilantes, and other security agencies to secure Awo’s release, she remains in captivity, with the perpetrators’ hideout unknown.

Ibikunle commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his proactive measures in addressing insecurity but emphasized the need for more action to ensure the safe release of those held captive.
