Abuja, November 29, 2024 – The launch of Bushradio Academy on Friday night was a groundbreaking event, setting a new milestone for Nigeria’s media landscape. Held at the prestigious River Park Estate in Abuja, the academy’s debut was nothing short of spectacular, with a distinguished lineup of top APC leaders and key stakeholders gracing the occasion.
At the helm of this momentous ceremony was Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE , Minister of Regional Development, who had the honor of cutting the ribbon to officially unveil the state-of-the-art academy. Engr. Momoh commended the visionary initiative of the academy’s Principal and CEO, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, lauding his dedication to revolutionizing media education and practice in Nigeria.
Joining him in lending credibility and support to the launch was former Edo State Governor and APC stalwart, His Excellency, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who applauded the academy’s potential to redefine the industry. Other high-profile attendees included Senator Saliu Mustapha, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agricultural Production, Services, and Rural Development; Hon. EJ Agbonayinma, former House of Representatives member; APC Chieftains Moses Omo-Ikirodah and Romeo Omoike, among others.
The Bushradio Academy, founded by Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, promises to be a transformative hub for aspiring media professionals. With a curriculum focused on hands-on training in storytelling, broadcasting, and digital strategy, the academy aims to bridge the gap between traditional media and today’s rapidly evolving digital space.
“This isn’t just an academy,” said Omo-Ikirodah in his address. “It’s a movement to redefine how we consume and create media in Africa. We’re here to shape the next generation of media innovators and content creators who will tell our stories authentically.”

In his remarks, the Minister of Regional Development , Momoh hailed the academy as a timely intervention for a critical sector. “Nigeria’s media industry is ripe for disruption, and Bushradio Academy is here to lead the charge,” he declared.
Adams Oshiomhole echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the academy’s role in bridging the skills gap in the media industry. “This is not just a launch; it’s the start of a revolution in how media is taught and practiced in Nigeria,” he noted.
Senator Mustapha and Hon. Agbonayinma also expressed their admiration for the academy’s vision, pledging their support to ensure its continued success.
