MultiChoice Brings Holiday Cheer: DStv, GOtv Decoder Prices Crashed Again!

According to Ireporter Online, popular pay-TV service provider MultiChoice has announced another major price reduction on its DStv and GOtv decoders, bringing more relief to subscribers across Nigeria. The DStv decoder, previously priced at ₦10,000, will now sell for ₦7,900, while the GOtv decoder price has been reduced to ₦6,500.

The adjustment, which took effect on November 1, marks the company’s second significant price slash in recent months and reflects its ongoing commitment to offering affordable access to quality entertainment. This move follows an earlier reduction made in June under the company’s “We’ve Got You” campaign, when the DStv decoder price was cut by 50 percent—from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000—while the GOtv decoder dropped from ₦18,600 to ₦9,900.

Speaking on the development, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of Marketing, Tope Oshunkeye, stated that the company’s decision was driven by a desire to make entertainment accessible to more Nigerians, especially as the festive season approaches. Oshunkeye emphasized that the reduction would allow families to enjoy a variety of local and international content without straining their budgets.

MultiChoice reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and ensuring that premium entertainment remains within reach for all households across the country.
