Naira Records Gain Against Dollar
On Tuesday, the Nigerian naira experienced an increase in value against the US dollar, trading at an exchange rate of N757.51 at the Investors and Exporters window…CONTINUE READING
This marks a significant appreciation of 2.23 percent compared to the N774.78 exchange rate it had against the dollar on Monday.
The open indicative rate, which reflects the average market rate, closed at N782.59 to the dollar on Tuesday.
During the day’s trading, the highest recorded spot exchange rate was N799.90 to the dollar before eventually settling at N757.51.
Interestingly, the naira reached a low of N700 to the dollar during the trading hours, indicating fluctuations in its value.
A total of $45.98 million was exchanged at the investors and exporters window on Tuesday, signifying the trading volume for the day.
