Nigerians React As Sanwo-Olu Receive Most Grassroots-Friendly Governor Award At Elgee-Info Media’s 10th-Anniversary (Details)

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be honored as the Most Grassroots-Friendly Governor at Elgee Info Media’s 10th Anniversary. The Sunday ceremony at Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, celebrates Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to grassroots development through his administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Plus Development Agenda.

Elgee Info Media, a community magazine, highlighted Sanwo-Olu’s contributions to rural development, including key infrastructure projects such as roads in Ijake Community, Oto-Awori LCDA, Ganiyu-Oduntan in Ikorodu, Ayubu-Bashorun Road in Ijede, Erelu-Amikanle Road in Alimosho, and Onishon Street in Ibeju-Lekki.

Publisher and Chief Executive Samuel Akinyemi noted Sanwo-Olu’s efforts in providing 500KVA transformers to various communities, enhancing rural areas into semi-urban centers and mitigating rural-urban migration.

The event will also honor other notable individuals and feature an art exhibition, a documentary on Sanwo-Olu’s achievements, and a compendium of his administration’s accomplishments. A lecture on grassroots governance by Kehinde Bamigbetan, Special Adviser to the Minister of Solid Minerals, will also be presented.

Organizers believe the recognition underscores Sanwo-Olu’s dedication to the development and transformation of rural communities.
