Outrage Grows As Prime Suspect In AAUA Tragedy Mysteriously Dies In Custody!
The prime suspect in the gruesome murder of two Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), students has reportedly died under mysterious circumstances while in police custody
Femi Oladele, popularly known as Tallex, who was also the landlord of the murdered students — Andrew Eloho Okah, 25, and John Friday Abba, 19 — allegedly succumbed to a strange illness on Friday while still in detention. Tallex had been apprehended alongside two accomplices for the alleged kidnapping, robbery, rape, and eventual murder of the two undergraduates.
The victims were both in 200-level, studying History and International Studies and Economics, respectively.
According to iReporter Online, following the discovery of Okah’s decomposing remains in a shallow grave on the Ondo–Ekiti border, Tallex was arrested. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the killing, citing Okah’s “disrespectful behaviour” as the motive behind the brutal crime.
Shortly after his confession, the suspect allegedly fell seriously ill. Sources claim he died shortly after being rushed to a hospital. “He (Tallex) is dead. We were told he died after suddenly falling ill. But there’s still confusion about the exact time and place of his death,” one source said. Conflicting accounts suggest that he either died inside the police cell or at the hospital, further fueling suspicions.
Confirming the development, the Ondo State Police spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that Tallex had been under close medical observation and had made several hospital visits before finally succumbing to the illness on Friday.
According to iReporter Online, Ayanlade reassured the public that Tallex had received medical attention and was being properly monitored until his sudden death.
Meanwhile, Okah’s body has been recovered, but efforts to find the remains of Abba are still ongoing. According to iReporter Online, the police have urged the public to disregard any misleading accounts and have vowed that justice will be pursued, ensuring all accomplices face the full wrath of the law.
