In a reaction to the government’s assertion, PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, called the claim “a lie” and labeled it as absurd. Abdullahi pointed out the contradiction in a government struggling to secure loans for its projects while allegedly boasting of massive savings. He stressed that such claims do not align with the harsh realities of widespread poverty, insecurity, and unprecedented inflation affecting the country.

Abdullahi further criticized the government for its failure to address the challenges facing Nigerians, warning that the public is no longer buying into the administration’s narratives. He added that the nation’s frustrations are palpable, and Nigerians are increasingly rejecting the government’s claims as disconnected from the lived experiences of the people.
