PDP Appoint Amina Arong As New National Woman Leader In Reshuffle

In a strategic move to fortify its leadership structure, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the appointment of Amina Arong from Cross River State as the new National Woman Leader……CONTINUE REASING

This appointment comes as a consequential reshuffling in the wake of the untimely passing of Prof Stella Effah-Attoe in October 2023, leaving a void in the party’s leadership, The late Effah-Attoe, a distinguished member of the PDP National Working Committee, succumbed to a brief illness, as confirmed by her family.

Amina Arong, with a background in Banking and Finance (Diploma) and Accounting (B.Sc.), is set to complete the remaining term of her predecessor.

In an official statement released on Wednesday, the PDP, through its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, highlighted Arong’s intellectual prowess, experience, competence, and vigor inmobilizing women for the party at both state and national levels.

The statement acknowledged Arong’s significant contributions to the party’s growth, citing her leadership roles in mobilizing various party women and youth groups, as well as her involvement in conducting party primaries and congresses across the country.

Expressing satisfaction with Arong’s dedication to the PDP, the party congratulated the new National Woman Leader and urged her to leverage her capabilities and experience to collaborate with other members of the National Working Committee.
