Poco Lee Remanded In UK Prison, Court Fixes September Date For Hearing
Popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has reportedly been remanded in a prison in the United Kingdom over an alleged assault offence.
According to IREPOTERONLINE , Poco Lee is expected to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, for a court hearing relating to the allegation.
The development was disclosed by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of a Nigerian community organisation in the United Kingdom.
Kuti, who spoke about the matter, said Poco Lee is currently being held in a UK prison and is scheduled to appear before the court at 10 a.m. on September 15.
He explained that he became aware of the case through his regular attendance at court proceedings, where he also provides support to Nigerians facing legal challenges in the UK.
Kuti confirmed the reports of Poco Lee’s detention and explained that the upcoming proceeding is expected to include a plea hearing, during which the accused may enter either a guilty or not-guilty plea.
He also said he intends to attend the proceedings to offer support to the Nigerian entertainer while urging the public to allow the judicial process to run its course.
Kuti stressed that Poco Lee remains innocent unless and until a court establishes otherwise, noting that the allegations should be handled through the appropriate legal channels.
Earlier reports had linked Poco Lee’s arrest in the UK to an allegation of rape. However, the identity of the alleged victim and specific details surrounding the reported incident have not been independently verified as of press time.
Reports concerning the dancer’s alleged detention in the United Kingdom began circulating online on August 19, 2026, generating widespread reactions among fans and members of the Nigerian entertainment community.
