Police Commissioner Declares Full Readiness For Ondo Governorship Election

The training, which began on Tuesday and concluded on Wednesday, aims to educate officers on their statutory roles as defined in the Electoral Act of 2022, with a focus on human rights and day-to-day policing duties.

“This training is vital as we prepare for the upcoming off-cycle elections in Ondo State. Officers from across the state have gathered to understand their responsibilities, and there will be no excuses for any lapses. We are committed to ensuring that the election process is free, fair, and secure,” Oladipupo stated.

Johnson Ategihe, a representative of the GTA Consulting Firm handling the training, noted that the programme was designed to address security challenges and ensure a peaceful election. He emphasized that the police are focused on creating an environment of fairness and safety for voters and all stakeholders involved in the election.
