Residents Of Ovia Score Dennis Idahosa High As The Electoral Campaign Begins

Yesterday was a significant day across the federation, as various supporters of political candidates and their parties were on the ground to express their willingness to support their preferred candidate’s campaigns.

Our correspondents visited major districts in several states, and our findings were quite intriguing. For example, in Edo State’s Ovia Federal Constituency, our correspondence tour revealed a lot about the constituent’s level of preparedness for the House of Representatives seat.

We noticed overwhelming support for the current lawmaker representing the constituent in the National Assembly, Hon Dennis Idahosa, at Igoubazuwa in Ovia South West LGA. We spoke with fifteen people who all agreed with the young legislator’s performance and dedication to serving them.

“How many constituents across Nigeria have such privilege of seeing their lawmaker representing them every week with their two KOROKORO EYES?” said one respondent who went by the name Oshodi. They would always flee because of the demands of such frequent visits.

You know, when a lawmaker comes around, a lot of people try to ambush him in order to have one assistant or the other, and the majority of these people require immediate assistance, so you can imagine that aside from the wonderful projects we see scattered around, people get stipends directly from him every week , which adds up to a huge cost. The legislator pays for all of this out of his own pocket.”

It was a similar song of praise for the lawmaker in Usen, Siluko and some other towns in Ovia South West.

Our stop in Ovia North East was even more revealing, in Ekiadolor they can’t stop singing his praise for the facilitation and update that led to the commencement of the New Tertiary institution taken over by the Federal Government, Oluku, Isiuwa, Oghede,Ogbese and others it was one awesome story or the other.

One resident claims Dennis has over 50 aides he pays directly from his personal income just to engage them positively. He claims his skills acquisition centre is ready and may be launched anytime soon, if not for the Minister of Youth’s interest in showcasing the ultramodern project to the world.

Keep an eye out for the Battle for Ovia, which will undoubtedly be a Constituent in the spotlight this campaign season.
