Rotimi Salami Opens Up On Romantic Relationship Rumours With Allwell Ademola

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has addressed long-standing rumours alleging that he once had a romantic relationship with late actress Allwell Ademola, a claim that has circulated for years within the Yoruba movie industry.

Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Salami dismissed the speculation, stating that he was largely unaware of the gossip surrounding his name and preferred not to engage with such narratives. He explained that he only became aware of the rumour after Ademola personally reached out to him to inquire about what was being said.

He further clarified that he told her he had no knowledge of the story and does not pay attention to industry gossip. According to him, such rumours do not influence his professional or personal relationships, as he remains focused on his career and avoids unnecessary distractions.

Salami also emphasized that his marriage remains his top priority, adding that he would distance himself from any friendship or professional relationship if it ever caused discomfort to his wife, whom he described as the only person he is accountable to.

“I told her I did not hear about it, and I truly do not listen to people. If my wife says she was not comfortable with our relationship, I would withdraw because she is the only person I am answerable to,” he said.

Reflecting on Ademola’s passing in December 2025 at the age of 49 following a cardiac arrest, Salami described the news as painful and unexpected. He noted that she had been managing an existing health condition, particularly asthma, and was always conscious of her wellbeing, often carrying her inhaler and advising others to take their health seriously.

“She’s been asthmatic, doesn’t joke with her health or medications, always cautious of her health and always had her inhaler and always tell people to take care of their health, I just believed it’s her time,” he added.
