The WhatsApp broadcast, circulating on Sunday and Monday, raised alarms about a potential influx of bandits from Kweri forest in Kaduna state to Gauraka/Kubwa Hills in the FCT. The message detailed the escape of a hostage, Inusa Lawal, shedding light on the dire situation faced by captives held by the criminal gang.

In light of these developments, the FCT Police swiftly mobilized officers and deployed both material and physical assets to strategic locations across Abuja.
