Showdown As Concerned Edo Citizens  Call On The Minister Of Education To Desist From Imposing A Foreign Man From Zamfara As Rector Of Auchi Poly

It has become necessary to call on the Minister of Education not to impose any candidate as Rector on Edo people because information reaching us indicates that, there is a serious plan to impose someone from Zamfara State as the new Rector in Auchi Polytechnic.

As concerned Edo citizens, we hereby call on President Buhari to immediately intervene to stop these wicked and heartless gimmicks. We have qualified and able personalities within the Campus community. Why impose a person with questionable character?

We also use this opportunity to call on all well-meaning Sons and Daughters to reject any imposed candidate from another State and school to the detriment of capable erudite scholars who over the years distinguished their selves.

We call on the Governing Council to resist this temptation because it will undermine the academic environment and create serious animosity.
We call for a credible candidate without any criminal records to be the next Rector. Nepotism must not come up, the best candidate from Edo extraction is our hope to move the school forward.
We reject totally any attempt or group of attempts to impose a northern candidate in Edo state.
