Skales Confesses: I Co-Wrote Wizkid’s ‘Wiz Party’ And Other Hits!

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, has revealed that he wrote several hit songs during his time at Empire Mates Entertainment (EME). In a recent interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Skales shared that he co-wrote some tracks from Wizkid’s debut album Super Star, including the bonus track “Wiz Party.”

The singer also mentioned that the collaboration worked both ways, as Wizkid contributed to his music as well, including writing the hit song “Mukulu.”

Reflecting on their time at EME, Skales said, “Back in EME, we were a team, so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote for Wizkid, and he wrote for me too. It was all about teamwork.”

Wizkid and Skales were among the first artists signed by Banky W to the EME label in the early 2010s, a deal that launched their careers. However, both artists eventually left the label following disagreements with Banky W.

Banky W later revealed in an interview that Wizkid still owed the label three albums according to his initial contract.
