Thugs With MC Oluomo’s Alleged Backing Storm NUJ Secretariat, Spark Chaos At BCAN Inauguration

attacked members of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria (BCAN).

The BCAN had rented the secretariat’s hall for their official inauguration, but their event was violently interrupted by thugs wearing caps emblazoned with MC Oluomo’s image. The attackers, led by Segun Aluwaye, who identified himself as the chairman of Berger Park, stormed the venue and caused mayhem.

Eyewitnesses reported that the thugs forced their way into the secretariat armed with machetes, knives, bottles, and sticks, injuring attendees and damaging property, including cameras, tables, chairs, and fans.

The violence broke out shortly after the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, had left the event. Attendees, including government officials and security personnel from the police, DSS, and NSCDC, were among those targeted.

BCAN Chairman, Comrade Prince Israel Ade Adeshola, condemned the attack, calling it “unfortunate.” He urged President Bola Tinubu and security agencies to take action against MC Oluomo and his followers.

At the time of reporting, no arrests had been made, but police were stationed outside the NUJ Secretariat to prevent further violence.
