Trump Denies Sharing AI Image Showing Himself As Jesus Online

According to Ireporter Online, the image was said to have been posted on Trump’s Truth Social account before being deleted, sparking controversy after it circulated widely and drew reactions from critics who argued that it resembled traditional Christian religious imagery.

Speaking to journalists at the White House on Monday, Trump dismissed the interpretation of the image, insisting it had been misunderstood and misrepresented by the public and media outlets. He explained that the image was intended to depict him in a medical or humanitarian role rather than a religious figure.

“Well, it wasn’t a picture… I thought it was me as a doctor, and it had to do with Red Cross as a Red Cross worker there, which we support, and only the fake news could come up with that one,” Trump said.

He further stated that the intention behind the image was to symbolise healing, adding that it represented his belief in improving people’s lives rather than any religious connotation.

“It’s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better, and I do make people better. I make people a lot better,” he added.

The controversial AI-generated image reportedly showed Trump dressed in flowing robes with radiant lighting, arms extended outward in a gesture some interpreted as resembling depictions of Jesus Christ. The background included symbolic elements such as angels or armed figures, fighter jets, and celebratory visuals, blending religious and nationalistic themes.

The post triggered backlash from critics who described it as inappropriate and offensive, arguing that it blurred the line between political imagery and religious symbolism. Some commentators further accused it of elevating Trump’s public image into a messianic portrayal.

The controversy has also surfaced amid ongoing tensions between Trump and Pope Leo XIV, following recent criticism exchanged over global and political issues. Trump had previously described the pope as “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy,” while also accusing him of being unfair in his stance toward his administration.

Despite the criticism, Trump maintained that the interpretation of the image was incorrect, insisting that it was never intended to represent him as a religious figure but rather to communicate a message of healing and service.
