Obaseki Mourns Passing Of UNIBEN Law Professor Osadolor

Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Professor Faith Osadolor, describing the development as a painful loss to his family, Edo State, and the wider academic and legal community.

According to Ireporter Online, Obaseki in a statement noted that the late professor, who lectured at the University of Benin, made significant contributions to the advancement of legal education in Nigeria. He added that Osadolor mentored numerous students who have since established successful careers guided by the principles he instilled.

The former governor further recalled the deceased’s service as Solicitor General of Edo State during his administration, stating that he discharged his responsibilities with exceptional dedication and professionalism.

He also noted that the late legal scholar approached governance duties with calmness, depth, and a strong sense of responsibility, which contributed to reforms and improved administrative processes in the state.

Obaseki described Professor Osadolor as a quiet, disciplined, and highly respected figure whose blend of academic excellence and public service earned him admiration from colleagues and associates.

He stated that the passing of the professor has created a significant vacuum that will be difficult to fill, adding that Edo State has lost a committed public servant whose life was defined by service, discipline, and integrity.

The former governor extended his condolences to the Osadolor family, the University of Benin community, and all those affected by the loss, while praying for strength for the bereaved and eternal rest for the deceased.
