A 17-year-old girl from Northern Nigeria, Nafisat Aminu of Yobe State, has emerged as the world’s top performer in English Language at the prestigious TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE, Nafisat outshone contestants from 69 countries and triumphed over more than 20,000 participants worldwide to clinch the number one spot, a remarkable achievement that has sparked widespread admiration on social media.

Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) was abuzz on Monday with reactions from proud Nigerians. One user, @abbeykool, hailed her win with the words, “Nigeria wins again.”

Another user praised the country’s academic talent, stating, “We have the best brains here; we dominate anytime we compete.”

ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE, Nafisat’s stunning performance comes amid national celebrations as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also honoured the D’Tigress and Super Falcons teams with $100,000 cash rewards each for their victories in African women’s basketball and football championships this year.
