Ganduje revealed that during a meeting with President Tinubu, he received assurances that his position within the APC leadership would not be compromised. He also indicated that the attempt to remove him from office was instigated by the Kano State government.

The suspension move was based on allegations of gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during Ganduje’s tenure as Kano State Governor, particularly referencing a widely circulated video allegedly showing him receiving dollars as a bribe from a contractor.

Despite the suspension attempt, the Kano State Working Committee of the APC intervened, rejecting the suspension and dismissing the ward leaders behind it. They accused the suspended leaders of engaging in anti-party activities and collaborating with the opposition.

Ganduje’s statement comes after a period of uncertainty regarding his position within the party. However, with President Tinubu’s reassurance, he remains confident in his role as the APC National Chairman.

The video shared by Ganduje, addressed in Hausa language, captures his discussion with supporters, affirming President Tinubu’s support for his continued leadership within the party.
