Adegboyega, who entered the UK on a visitor’s visa in 2005 and overstayed, recently found himself in court after trying to remain in the country on human rights grounds. Despite the legal challenges, the 44-year-old pastor has no qualms about defending his luxurious lifestyle, stating that his wife, Mary Olubukola Alade, who earns £100,000 annually at AON, fully funds their lavish lifestyle.

In court, Adegboyega explained that his lifestyle was part of a bigger mission to inspire the youth in his church, who make up the majority of his congregation. He said, “I want these young people to understand that there are legitimate ways to make money, like through entrepreneurship.”

Reacting to the tribunal’s ruling on his deportation, Adegboyega dismissed the accusations, expressing confidence that no matter the challenges, he would persevere. “I’ve survived everything in the UK, and I’m still here. This is my city,” he declared. “There’s nothing to panic about. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve succeeded here, and nothing is going to change that.”
