Wike Announces C-of-O Fee For Abuja Plots Of Land
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that the FCT Administration will maintain a flat rate of N5 million for the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) for all sizes of plots of land in Abuja.
He rejected the suggestion to review the rate based on the sizes of the plots, emphasizing that a C-of-O is a business and security document, not graded by property size or location.
However, he hinted at the possibility of reviewing the fee. Wike also discussed plans to link applicants’ National Identification Number to C-of-Os before issuance to enhance accountability and prevent multiple allocations for the same plot.
