In a resolute message directed at Governor Godwin Obaseki and the People Democratic Party (PDP), Tenebe issued an eviction notice, signaling the APC’s assertive position.

He also assured all APC aspirants of an equal opportunity in the scheduled February primary election. This dedication to a fair playing field underscores the party’s commitment to internal democracy and transparency in the selection process.

Tenebe stated, “We have a leader in Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who has unequivocally stated that the people and the party will determine who flies their flag, and that is the current position of the party. No individual will comfortably assert that they are the chosen candidate.

“For us in the APC, there will be a level playing ground for all the aspirants, and we intend to select the best from the pool of qualified aspirants ready to govern the state.

“I want to convey a message to Godwin Obaseki and the PDP that it will not be business as usual, and we are prepared, eager, and capable of regaining power. So, he should start preparing to vacate the government with his party.”

Over 30 candidates have expressed interest in competing for the party’s gubernatorial ticket.
