”Insult Okpebholo, Face My Wrath!” Oshiomhole’s Explosive Warning To Obaseki
The political battlefield in Edo State is heating up to a boiling point as the gubernatorial election campaign intensifies. In a fiery speech delivered to a passionate crowd in Ekiadolor, Ovia, former APC chairman Adams Oshiomhole unleashed a blistering attack on Governor Godwin Obaseki and the PDP. With a warning that reverberated across the state, Oshiomhole declared, “If you slap Okpebholo once, I will slap you 10 times!”
Oshiomhole’s words were not just rhetoric—they were a direct threat to Obaseki and his party. Accusing the PDP of repeatedly insulting APC gubernatorial candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo, Oshiomhole made it clear that any further provocations would be met with overwhelming force. He even went so far as to allege that the PDP had been involved in the killing of a police officer protecting one of their candidates—a crime he condemned as nothing short of “satanic.”
But Oshiomhole didn’t stop there. He lambasted Obaseki for what he called a failed administration, highlighting the governor’s unfulfilled promises, such as the Gelegele Seaport project. In a show of solidarity, APC House of Representatives member and incoming deputy governor Dennis Idahosa vowed that an Okpebholo administration would prioritize the development of Ovia, regardless of political affiliations.
Senator Monday Okpebholo, the man at the center of this storm, expressed his gratitude to the crowd and vowed to restore everything Edo has lost under Obaseki’s watch. He pledged to revive the state’s healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure, promising a brighter future for Edo.
As the APC rallies its forces, with leaders like Dr. Mary Alile and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu urging the people to back their candidates, the tension in Edo State continues to mount. The fierce exchanges between the APC and PDP underline the high stakes of this election, with both sides preparing for a final showdown in this crucial battleground
