Nwabali, who emerged as the hero by saving two crucial penalty kicks, played down his individual contribution as the Super Eagles secured a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Bafana Bafana, booking their spot in the final.

The Chippa United goalkeeper humbly attributed the success to the collective efforts of the entire team.

“After the game, Nwabali expressed his gratitude to the management and coaches, acknowledging their support and guidance throughout the tournament,” he said.

“I am truly grateful for the guidance I have received from these individuals, which has contributed to our success as a team.”

Despite being named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, Nwabali remained modest and focused on the team’s achievements as a whole.
