AFCON 2024: Troost-Ekong Sets Record In Super Eagles’ Loss To Cote d’Ivoire

Troost-Ekong initiated the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 37th minute of the game. Despite their early lead, Jose Peseiro’s squad succumbed to two goals from the Elephants in the second half, resulting in their defeat.
This goal marked the third tally for the centre-back in the competition. Impressively, the 30-year-old has now accumulated five goals in total at the AFCON finals.
