The Super Eagles took the lead with a goal from William Troost-Ekong eight minutes before halftime.
However, Emerse Fae’s team turned the tide in the second half with goals from Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller.
The local population celebrated the victory throughout the night.
Additionally, there will be a trophy parade at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan today.
President Alssanne Quattara and other prominent government figures are expected to attend the event.
During the parade, the president is anticipated to announce a monetary reward for the players and coaching staff.
